Annual Mixer

The Annual D1 Mixer at Twin Hills is a special KCU ASDA event dedicated to welcoming first-year dental students to the College of Dental Medicine and introducing them to the supportive community available throughout their dental education. The event provides D1 students with an opportunity to step away from the classroom, connect with their classmates, and begin building meaningful relationships with upperclassmen and student leaders in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Throughout the evening, students have the opportunity to learn more about KCU ASDA, explore ways to become involved, and hear about the organization’s leadership, advocacy, professional-development, wellness, volunteer, and social opportunities. Conversations with upperclassmen also allow D1 students to ask questions, receive advice, and gain valuable insight into navigating the academic and personal demands of dental school.

More than a social gathering, the Annual D1 Mixer represents the beginning of lasting friendships, mentorships, and professional connections. By bringing students from different class years together, the event helps strengthen the sense of community within the KCU College of Dental Medicine and reminds new students that they have a network of peers ready to support them throughout their dental-school journey.
